Simple Cash Flow Spreadsheet (Free)

OK so this isn’t strictly a ‘money making’ opportunity (except for me perhaps! See below).

Over the years I have used many programs to try and track my own personal finances – these have ranged from shareware programs to professional programs like MS Money, While these are powerful, I have never felt they have given me exactly what I wanted. Therefore I decided to design my own simple spreadsheet.

My Cash Flow is a very simple Cash Flow spreadsheet that allows you to track all your own personal finances, and at the same time budget for the next year. I use it as a ‘daily’ reconciliation to my bank account, and also as a tool to let me know how much cash I ‘really’ have at the moment, and how much cash I will likely have in the future.

While it is not state-of-the-art, I use it daily and it is sufficient for my needs.

Therefore I am offering the spreadsheet as freeware. Simply leave me a comment with an email address and I will email you three files:

cashflow.xls (A template)
cashflowExample.xls (A filled out example)
My cash flow instructions.doc (urrrm instructions).

I do not require any payment, however if you like the spreadsheet and feel it merits a token payment, please feel free to use the Paypal icon on this website to ‘pay’ me.

So how does this make me money? Well I have actually sold this spreadsheet on eBay in the past – while I did not make much money, it is possible that with a little work you can design applications (spreadsheets) etc and publish them on the web and make a little money on them – if anyone is into the iPhone, please feel free to convert this as an iPhone app and ‘share’ any revenues with me!!!
